To form a powerful international team of experts from different functions for the Degussa MATCH Project of the BUs Methacrylates und Specialty Acrylics in Shanghai, China, I have chosen Thomas Orths (WinLearnChange Ldt) as an external Performance-Coach and Trainer. He had been highly recommended to me by different colleagues who all had worked with him successfully before. The challenge was to form one strong team and overcome the cultural differences between 20 German/European and 20 Chinese Project team members.
Mr Orths organised 2 Teambuilding Workshops in February and May 2007, each over several days in Shanghai for 40+ Members of the MATCH Team. These Initiatives have been highly successful due to his outstanding performance. His Workshops were very well prepared regarding the definition of outcome, research and analysis of the team situation to start with. As a consequence the design of his input, the exercises and numerous Break-out groups were very well received by all team members.
